Creativity

When using creativity there is a limit, this is due to the form of media we decide to use. Most ideas are generated by something we have seen or heard, so for example if I were to make a musical film aimed at teenagers the film High school musical would come to mind. However I would not be able to copy it due to creativity and other copy right reasons. Creativity can also be effected by;
  • Time; If there is alot of time a better finished product will be able to produced.
  • Audience as well as their expectations; This will include age, gender, race, sexuality and class.
Another issue with creativity which we will have to deal with is the fact we are working in a group, this is known as 'collective' creativity. As a group and my job as director I will have to ensure that everyones ideas are taken into account, and that each of the group are happy with the finalized ideas.

Roles

Last year i was script writer of the product we made, I really enjoyed this however this year i have stepped up to director. I am really excited about this role and feel that it will be a good challenge this year. Last year i worked in a group of three, which included Roma and Lorna however this year we had a change although myself and Lorna felt we worked well together so stuck as we were. In addition to our group this year we have Amy and Jessica, both are really good at media and together I feel we are able to make a good quality film. Lorna did the story board last year and did a really good job of it so as a group we decided it would be best to keep her as that whilst Jessica is going to be our script writer and Amy is going to be our editor.

Brief

 Last year i got a B which i was extremely pleased with, to get this we had to work in small groups to produce the opening two minutes of a film


This year we have been given the task of producing a short film that has to last approximately five minutes. We have been given the task of producing two of three options (See below).

  • A Radio trailer
